OTC 2019: How oil industry sees Mexico’s minerals regimen

HOUSTON, May 22, 2018 — This report is a third in a series of reports that draw on panels and events at Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2018.

Owning to Mexico’s “Law of Silence,” there were no government speakers on the panels. Oil company panelists on “One Gulf of Mexico” commented on their investments in Mexico.

In this report, we propose that the panel be reconvened to offer an assessment of how the oil minerals regime there is meeting expectations.
